Harassed by a house insurance company (Vienna)

Hi,

I stayed for almost 4 years in Vienna, in a rented flat.
I made a house insurance for the apartment .
Now i just move to a new apartment where the landlord have a house insurance. I was happy that I do not have to pay this.

The problem is that the insurance company from old apartment informed that they do not want to cancel my insurance contract.
More than that they say that will insure my new flat and ask me for apartment surface.

They ask me to give them my new rent contract, new landlord contact details and so on.
They wrote me that I cannot move out from old insurance.

Is this legal or they take advantage that I do not speak well the language?
Should I hire a lawyer?
