Jobs and advice for moving to Vienna

Hi All,

I am looking at moving to Vienna in the next few months to join my girlfriend and would love any advice on looking for jobs and applying for visas and how tough the process is.

I am even looking at studying further but our University courses are structured slightly differently so I am also not sure how it applies in Europe. I have a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Physiology and Sports Science (3 years) as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in management (1 year).

I am currently doing the A1 level German course through the Goethe Institute in Cape Town. The language issue has been a problem so far when I have been applying for jobs.

As far as I understand one needs a job offer before being able to apply for a visa?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
