Making the move (Vienna)

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of considering moving to Vienna from Ireland and I was wondering if any fellow Irish might be able to give me a steer in relation to any pitfalls that may be in store with regards to the move.
Are you able to somehow transfer Social Insurance payments made in Ireland to Austria? I thought I read that once you have informed the Irish Department of Social Protection that you are moving and inform the AMS that you are arriving then you are able to claim job seekers benefits almost on arrival while you hunt for employment. Did I get this wrong? Can anyone let me know if that is the case.
