Moving to Ventiane (Vientiane)

Dear Internations fellows,

I am currently living in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - but move to Laos in mid-August Protected content . My kids are 12 and 10 and will attend the Vientiane international school there. As we will have to find a house to live in - could you please give me some hints where there are good, safe and quiet areas to live not too far from the school how much houses with 4 to 5 bedrooms normally would cost? We get some house offers via the internet but they do not tell me anything in terms of area and how realistic the prices are.
