International Poetry Evening (Vilnius)

Dear InterNations friends,
We, Sandra and Živilė, as InterNations members would like to invite
you to event 21th of February (Thursday), 6:30 PM at "Association Baltic
Turkish Culture Academy", Jaksto str. 5,(centre of Vilnius).

As you already may know, we have very interesting international
project - "International poetic alphabet", it's activities aims to
develop and put into practice new pedagogical approaches using poetry
as a way to promote:
-mutual comprehension and common European values such as the respect
of cultural and linguistic diversity;
- active European citizenship;develop/discover creative ways to
teach/learn languages.

So we got idea to organize an event with InterNations community after
some meeting, as It is a great opportunity for representatives from
various countries and for Lithuanians also to present yours country poetry
and to learn more about country/culture through poetry readings/presentation/discussions.
Participants are very welcome to read poetry in natives languages or
even in Lithuanian, which let us to learn about your country, it's
culture/people, or just to come for have a good time, share ideas
about different cultures/languages and make new connections.

Topic of discussion: how we can know more our country/culture through poetry?
Presentation will be prepared from Project management group - "Lithuanian
language" (Sandra Stalnionyte) and 'Maironis - the poet, who will
never die" (Sumeyye Alan)

Participation is totally for free.

Event schedule:
6:15-6: Protected content , registration
6:30-6: Protected content opening, introduction of guests
6:45-7: Protected content of Lithuanian language
7:15-7: Protected content - the poet, who will never die" presentation
7: Protected content -- poetry readings of our guests, discussions
8. Protected content -- tea/snacks time, networking, informal conversations and
discussions within all participants
