moving to Warsaw

I am moving to Warsaw for a few months from January 1st. I have visited the city a couple of times, but it was always very briefly. Do you have any hints on what to do, where to go out, what to watch out for, and what to avoid? Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks a bunch!!
