Latin America! (Washington, D.C.)

I'm about to embark on a Latin American adventure...but, I don't speak Spanish...yet...

My plans are as follows:

Comitán de Domínguez, Chiapas, Mexico (via Cancún) will be my beginning point - then Guatemala, then Honduras, then Nicaragua...perhaps brief stops in Costa Rica and Panama...then on through Colombia - then Brazil (for carnival) - then Ecuador. I plan to come back to Brazil after Ecuador for hopefully a long term.

I will be learning both Spanish and Brazlilan Portuguese aggressively.

If any of you are from any of these places or if you know people from these places that I can reach out to for information, language exchange, home-stays, etc. - please inbox me or post to this thread.

I plan to leave the USA around New Year's Day if possible!
