What to do in DC for 3 months (Washington, D.C.)

Hi,

I am moving to DC for a few months to do a short-term consult at the World Bank and have a couple of basic questions having never spent much time in Washington. First, I want to find a sublet. Are there any places I can look other than craigslist? What neighbourhoods are good in DC? Second, what to do after work once I'm there: Where does the non-hill crowd go out after work? Any good tips on places to go, things I should see/do?
