Relocating to NZ (Wellington)

My name is Lilach Catz, I'm checking an option of relocating to NZ- Wellington with my family.
We have a job offer already and trying to get some info about:
Schools- public or private, how much do they cost., when does the school year starts
Housing- where are the prefered areas to rent a house, which rent should we expect
Transportation- cars or public.
Taxtion and any helpfull information.
