Cost of living in Wiesbaden (Wiesbaden-Mainz)

My husband is exploring a job opportunity in Wiesbaden. We are trying to figure out the cost of living in Wiesbaden as we consider the salary he has been offered. We are married with three children ages 4, 2 and 5 months. Can anyone discuss the following with me?
-Do most people live in the city of Wiesbaden, or is it common for people to move to the suburbs for more space and more affordable housing?
-Can you live with just one car?
-How much is rent on a good-sized (by German standards, I know!) home? 3+bedrooms
-How much is it to purchase appliances to furnish a rental property?
-How much do groceries cost?
-Which suburbs or areas are considered desirable? Undesirable?
-Where do people usually settle when they have a family?
-What kinds of options do we have for school? My boys are German citizens but are English-speakers.
-Do you know of any good websites where we can see the real estate offerings for the Wiesbaden area? A German-type Craigslist?
-Are there any good resources for learning about a move to Wiesbaden?
-What is the average household income?
