8 years George W Bush - Positive legacy ??

Most of us have a rather bad image of the outgoing US president.

I am neither a big supporter, but thought are there any POSITIVE effects of his presidency. It might not be uncontroversial, but e.g. "No Child left behind" or the enormous increase in Aid for Africa are positive.

As said, I am aware that there is tons of controversy around e.g. Africa Aid (bundled to sex education WITHOUT preservatives), but it's the right direction nonetheless so pls I don't want this thread to degenerate into another Bush Bashing Fest.

Any further input ??
