A load of old jargon

We use it everyday, sometimes without even realising it. We can use it to make something simpler to say or to make a sentence so complicated no-one's quite sure what it means! Is using jargon a good thing or not? What is the most baffling example of jargon you have come across?

Example

"At the moment the word 'transparency' seems to crop up in almost every news bulletin. But I don't think these people mean transparency at all. I think they mean 'visibility'. A thing that is transparent is invisible like a pane of glass.
People make statements such as: " We want a process that is transparent." But this really means that they want a process that is invisible. I think what they are asking for is a process that is visible.
