Africa Peace Caravan 2011 / 2012

Africa Peace Caravan is an NGO with a vision to promote peace and freedom on the continent, through an annual 4x4 travel across the African continent. Like an Olympic Torch, the Africa Peace Caravan travels across the Africa Continent, carrying the Peace Flag.
The purpose of the Africa Peace Caravan is to promote the countries and the peoples of Africa. Based on partnerships built ahead of the Caravan’s departure, African Governments and their Tourism authorities lend political support to the Peace Caravan. In-country, the Caravan works hand in hand with the tourism industry so that the Caravan’s itinerary enables the promotion of the country’s culture and specificities and facilitates the discovery of the country’s geographical beauties and historical heritage.
Africa Peace Caravan has already travelled across Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Sudan, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and down Lake Tanganyika to arrive back in Malawi last September. The trip was supported by the African Union. Within the next two months the caravan will be on the road again heading towards Zambia, after which it embark on other southern African countries. I will send you the detailed itinerary in the very near future.
We are seeking young members for the team, either local or from overseas, including the following:
1. One medical doctor 2. One mechanic 3. One journalist 4. One photograph 5. One cook
I will be seeking your partnership in this to support the team. Any contributions towards the trip are most welcome.
2. Protected content Peace Relay and Walk
We want to promote peace and freedom through sport, in which everybody can participate from young though to old. 21st of September is Africa Peace Day on which date we wish to organise a running relay between Malawi and Zambia. Departing on the night of the 20th of September from Lilongwe, we would arrive in Chipata to celebrate Africa Peace Day. The relay will be held in teams of five people and is open to all nationals. I will be seeking your partnership in sourcing participants and supporting teams.
The Africa Peace Walk is held annually. The fifth Africa Peace Walk will be held in Djibouti on the 25th of November this year. The Peace Caravan will be traveling by road to reach Djibouti, promoting peace and freedom along its path. I look forward to gaining your feedback on our projects in the near future. If you require any more information please contact me anytime through email .
I would gladly arrange for a slideshow viewing of our past projects at your convenience.
