Agricultural Underwriter - Singapore

My client, a reinsurer, are looking for experienced underwriter in Agricultural field.
You must have more than 10years of experience in underwriting for agriculture, crop, livestock.

The role will cover the whole region the company conducts business in, ie. Asia, Pacific and Middle East including Turkey. Key markets would be China, India, South Korea, Turkey and Australia. This person they are recruiting is expected to set up and spread head company’s agriculture portfolio. KPIs will be set in both top line and the bottom line as well as technical contributions of the person in terms of setting up underwriting guidelines and pricing tools, etc. They are looking for a substantial growth target. Class of business is agriculture – including crops and livestock businesses as well as other related agriculture risks. Product types are mainly treaty while some forms of fac business could be available and written. Underwriting authorities will be given to the person and will be in accordance to company authority guidelines. Another key point to make is that they are looking for the person not only to underwrite the current available business from the market but also to conduct business development activities whenever there is a promising lead.
