Would it be far fetched to imagine a scenario where Gordon Brown loses heavily to the Scottish Nationalists in Scotland and to the Conservatives in England whilst at the same time the price of oil is sky high? Scotland then becomes independent, and the canny Scots control their North Sea oil!
