Anyone from Turkey or have traveled there?

I'm going to be in Istanbul, Turkey from 5 PM to 12 midnight the fallowing day. Can anyone recommend a nice traditional Turkish restaurant (famous for kabobs) for dinner and maybe a popular cafe hangout in Istanbul. Also, what is a must see if I'm going to be there for a full day, I like history and enjoy places that has some meaning or natural beauty. thank you
