Anyone travelling to Monterrey, MX for business?

Hi all
I have a project opportunity in Monterrey that will require short visits (2 to 3 days onsite once every 4 months) but my company looked on the French consulate's page in Monterrey and saw the "no travel advisory" warning to the area and said "no go". The US version says "travel with caution."
Is anyone travelling to the city for business? If so what are your thoughts on safety?
