Are team orders in sports unfair ?

In the German F1 Grand Prix Ferrari placed his both cars at the first and second place. But this victory has been ruined by the so-called team orders, ordering Felipe Massa to hand his victory to Fernando Alonso. Team orders which interfere with the race were banned in Protected content . Ferrari's actions at Hockenheim have divided opinion in Formula 1 circles, and the media speaks of “cheating”.
