Are vaccines effective and safe?

In the past few years vaccines have reached epic proportions and debates continue among the pro life people (anti-vaxers) and pro vaccine. We are seeing websites that advocate education about the massive, detrimental and often fatal side effects of vaccines being shut down and more government mandates to enforce this practice on uneducated individuals. I have found that the anti-vaxers are generally more informed people in society and people who question the stratus quo and do not follow authority blindly? They ask questions about what is happening in the world today and look for truthful answers on alternative media as well as listening to what agenda mainstream are trying to push. Anti-vaxers are more awakened about the real agenda that is being enforced upon us and they are trying to protest these unethical practices and not only related to vaccines.

My questions to the forum:
1. If vaccines work, why are pro vaxers worried about other peoples children not being vaccinated?
2. If vaccines work then why do pro vaxers push for herd immunity?
3. Why was a US military ship recently quarantined with a massive mumps outbreak after 100% of the crew all had the MMR vaccine? That surely dispels the myth of herd immunity?
4. Are any pro vaxers aware of the adjuvants inside a vaccine? Formaldehyde, Aluminium,Mercury, Fetal tissue from aborted babies, Nagalase etc etc. Most of these are neuro-toxic and nobody would ever dare to take them on their own so how do they suddenly become 'safe' inside a vaccine?
5. No research exists to date on safety and efficacy of any vaccines. They have never done randomized controlled studies or double blind experiments or even tested a vaccine against a pure placebo like they do with other medications. Why?
6. No research exists on receiving multiple doses of multiple vaccines in a single day. Why?
7. We know autism rates have increased alarmingly in past few decades. In the Protected content it was something like 1: Protected content now we are at a remarkable ratio of 1:47. The only thing that has increased is the number of vaccines that people receive in that time. In the 80s people may have received Protected content yet now the schedule is pushing for 72 vaccines. There is a direct correlation between number of vaccines given and the alarming rate of autism. Why?
8. Why are vaccine manufacturers IMMUNE FROM PROSECUTION and receive full protection from the law even if their products cause mass genocide as has recently happened in Philippines when almost Protected content died due to Dengue vaccine?
9. Why was VAERS set up if vaccines do no harm?
