Dear expats,

I am a PhD student at the University of Konstanz and I am writing my dissertation about the interplay of work and family as well as its consequences on expatriate success. Besides being scientifically interested in that topic I am personally interested in it as well, since I lived 3 years abroad myself (USA and Norway).

I am examining the questions, if work and family rather interfere or enrich each other during a foreign assignment and how this interaction influences expatriate success. Furthermore, the role of social support and development opportunities at work will be examined besides other factors.

Therefore, I am looking for German speaking expatriates (from Germany, Austria or Switzerland), who are on a foreign assignment with their families (spouse and/or kids) since at least 6 months for an online-survey that last approx. 20 minutes. I would be more than happy, if you took the time to participate in the survey! It goes without saying that your data will be treated anonymously and strictly confidential. The data will only be used for research purposes. It is very important for the statistical analysis that you fill out the questionnaire completely, even though you might wonder why certain questions seem very much alike. This similarity of questions is intended and necessary for the statistical analysis.
