Augmented Reality. Is Internations an AR Device ?

Are IN members playing an Interface role, for the AR(INTERNATIONS) ?

What is reality, perceived and created by IN?

Augmented reality (AR) is a live, direct or indirect, view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. It is related to a more general concept called mediated reality, in which a view of reality is modified (possibly even diminished rather than augmented) by a computer. As a result, the technology functions by enhancing one’s current perception of reality.[1] By contrast, virtual reality replaces the real world with a simulated one.[2][3] Augmentation is conventionally in real-time and in semantic context with environmental elements, such as sports scores on TV during a match. With the help of advanced AR technology (e.g. adding computer vision and object recognition) the information about the surrounding real world of the user becomes interactive and digitally manipulable. Artificial information about the environment and its objects can be overlaid on the real world

If you like to look at all the applications, i wonder when Networks will implement augmented reality? but arent networks already a human-based type of AR?

From one side point of view, Augmented reality is actually the integration of reality to a device or media-information hardware.

While we interact on IN through our terminals, PC or laptops, we receive most of the time, while in threads, an real time information (some times asynch) of the IN friends we do have. These information is added already to the individual realm, as concrete, possible or abstract.

With our perceptio we point oout elements of our perceived reality and describe them through TEXT on IN forums.

My idea in this case is that we, as IN users, play the role of a collector of data, and by adding it to IN Forums, we create a new reality, thanks to our perception as users, and for some:imagination, as readers.

Isnt that Augmented reality already. (despite the fact we cannot add media on IN)

I feel you will enjoy to review just on wiki page the list of applications and toolls, hardware already developed and available
