Australian Federal Elections called for August 21

The date for the Australian federal election has now been set for Saturday, 21 August Protected content .
Overseas Australians can be registered to vote, or who may be able to register if they are not currently on the roll, to exercise their right to vote. For those overseas, this will mean voting in person or by post in the few weeks before August 21
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has indicated that its offices will be open from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Sunday, 17 July Protected content time in your electorate) to allow people more time to lodge enrolment forms. They will, of course be open as normal on Monday, 19 July when the rolls will close at 8.00 pm.
