Brits to Kerala

Hi

I am English and my partner is an ORI ( Of Indian Origin ) but not born there. We are visiting Kerala in Protected content assess the in's and out's of living there. We have a business plan. ( No not Ayeurvedic thearapy ) What we would like to know are the current visa requirements / property purchase permissions for us to be able to live in Kerala.

1/ What is the correct current procedure to work and live in Kerala / India for our circumstances?

2/ Can we buy property as potential full time residents immediatley or do we have to rent first / leave the country every 6 months ( visa ) until the process is complete?
