Church want that shops remain closed on Sundays

Am not talking about the Vatican, iam not talking about the Pope, am not talking about Italy, where the sunday shoping is a normallitiy during the Christmas period.

In Germany the church oposes strongly the open sunday shopping. They even went to court to avoid that in Berlin shops would get authorizations to open on Sundays. They claim it is the day to dedicate to God ........it is a day of rest, to dedicate to the family..

Are you in favor of the Sunday open shops ? Has the Church in Germany the right to opose Sunday shopping ?
