I have been visiting China many times and since a long time . Things have changed over the years . Some for the better but many for the worst.

Economic growth is a smoke screen hiding from the Western eyes the grim daily life of the silent (silenced ? ) majority...

The CP struggles to preserve a social "status quo" combining heavy handed dictatorship and availability of wealth to the middle class....how long will this last ?

How much longer Chinese intellectuals (at home) and political activits (abroad) will remain "comfortably numb ?" Why do they seem unable to prepare the "after" ?
