Do some people know nothing about China?

Recently,i surprisingly find how some europeans ,south americans are ignorant of China.My expat friends are always asked such kind of ridiculous questions:do you chinese have buses?do you wear jeans?are there any skycraper in China?Many books there just introduced the rural area of my beautiful motherland.

i understand that these people may be misled by some anti China media,or by the culture shock with some expat chinese.

Now,i wonder here in internations,anyone here know nothing about China?or are you interested in China?
