Doctoral Research on employee/students abroad.
Hi, I'm currently pursuing my doctoral degree at Griffith University . Being an expatriate myself, I know the challenges associated with moving to a new country and the impact on ones psychological well-being.
My research study is aimed to identify these challenges and stressors while adjusting to new host country. There are ample of research that have addressed stressor from a general perspective of expats life. This study is unique, the focus being particularly emphasizing the in country challenges and stressors. The research also provides a intervention platform based on CBT approach to help you develop required skills to deal with stress and improve your psychological well-being.
You can help us if you as an individual identify yourself as:
working and/or studying in ICT (information and communication Telecommunication) sector.
living and working/ studying for minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 5 years in the host country
on skilled visa category – skilled visa, work visa, study visa, employer visa etc

Session Protected content will be asked to complete a 20 minute survey measuring your stress and well-being aspects
Session Protected content upon the session 1 results, some of you will be encouraged to engage in a self-guided training program. here you will be asked to express your thoughts and feelings associated with a stressful event. You will require 15 minutes/per week for 8 weeks.
Session Protected content a 10 minutes qualitative evaluation of training program will be conducted.
Session Protected content will be asked to complete a follow-up 20 minute survey measuring your stress and well-being aspects post several weeks.
Session Protected content 200 participants will receive Amazon Gift card valued at $3.50 USD each upon completion of this session Session Protected content 75 participants will receive Amazon Gift card valued at $10.00 USD each upon completion of this session.
