Doha...things to do, places to see, people to meet...

Hello everyone,

I will come to Doha in the first week of feb for three days on a business trip. As it is rather cold and grey in Hamburg at the moment, I am toying with the idea of prolonging my stay there and making a little vacation of it.
As I have never been there I am wondering....

is it worthwile spending some vacation time in Doha?
What is there to do and see?
Will anyone of you be there who would like to meet up for a drink or possibly show me around a bit?
Will it be ok to travel around there as a woman?
Any hotel recommendations?
