Ecuador needs professionals to sustain growth

Ecuador will register increased growth this year, according to figures released by the Central Bank. The Ecuadorian economy will increase this year by 5.4%, exceeding the government’s estimated 4.8%. Leading the economy is construction (public and private), with an increase of 3.4%, the service industry with a 2.4% increase, and the manufacturing industry with a 1.5% increase.

Following a humanist tradition, Ecuador has always welcomed migrants with open arms who can contribute greatly to the development of this country, especially medical specialists, highly skilled workers in academic education, and university professionals, among others.
Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa said: “In Latin America anything can be done. Ecuador is the third largest growing economy of Latin America and our unemployment is under 5%,”
He also added that Ecuador seeks investment by medium-sized companies involved in the largest industrial counterparts, like construction.
