Ecuadors Coastal Communities

Greetings all. I am new here. Quick background. I spend 3 months in Upstate NY, 3 months in Beringen CH, and 6 months in Ecuador per year. I am a retired bush pilot from Alaska, and probably have been one of the very few that has been barred from re-entering the U.A.E.. Not because of anything illegal. I could write a short story about that alone, but it still gives me goose bumps.

Anyway. If you would like to know anything about living along EC beautiful coast, please let me know. While I have been all around EC, I decided to live in an area where uptight gringos were not planning typical social activities as they did in the States because they are uncomfortable venturing out and into EC society. When I hear gripes on Ex-Pat forums such as, being upset because the lack of English speaking TV channels, I just have to wonder why you came here. It is not their fault they do not speak English, while all yours, you do not speak Spanish.
