Is your house emptier of objects when compared to your non-expat friends?

As a researcher I am working on this notion that people who have travelled a lot and who plan on keeping with the moving tend to have LESS things in their dwellings (especially furniture) than other people who have not lived in different parts of the world.

I would like to hear your input on that. Does that resonate with you? Do you feel your house is a bit more emptier of objects than your non-expat/global minded neighbours?

Do you see this emptiness in the houses of your serial expat friends?
