Esperanto

The confusion and frustration most of all feel when we move to a new culture has much more to do with the change of culture than it has with the language. Esperanto never took up and never will because it does not reflect any culture. Linguists through the years have mistakenly thought of "language as a tool of communication." However, languages are always the "expression of the relationship" between people and their social and physical environment. This is why languages are evolutionary as the cultures they represent. This is why, throughout history, we have dominant languages that die after the cultural dominance is over. It is quite possible, for example, that the formation of new international laguages will happen as a result of the present global shift in economic powers; and from factors such as the effect "texting" is having in the written expression of present languages.
