Facebook & Social Application Development

I am new to InterNations so "Hello" to you all... :)

I run a company (Social Gears - Protected content creating applications for Facebook and other social networks. I'm curious to know what you all think is missing from social networks or some of the positive/negative aspects you've encountered. How do *you* use social networks and where do you see them headed in future?
