Finance Graduates - is there hope????

After the recent excitement observed on the financial markets, students graduating in Protected content being warned that the financial sector may dilute its graduate intake for the coming year.

Amidst expectations of 2.1's, extracurricular activities, internships, languages and numerical testing - I would be interested in your comments and opinions regarding what you anticipate as necessary traits for graduates to portray - what would you deem as a competitive edge? what are the best companies/countries to look for that first job? and any other thoughts and tips that may come to mind!

P.S Would taking the IMC improve ones chances of employment?
