Future career in Dubai?

Dear all,
I am a 25-year-old final year Ph.D. student in Pharmacy and am considering moving to Dubai when I finish, many of my friends have recommended it because the career prospects are very good particularly since I am British. I am not sure where to look for a job, and I would like to speak to someone who has made a move from the UK to Dubai and ask them for their opinion on living in Dubai and about the whole process of moving and acquiring visas.
