Help for expats in their transition abroad

Hello good people of InterNations. :-)

My name is Dave, and I’m an Irish guy who’s passionate about expats, traveling and living abroad. I spent a couple of years living in London and now I’m about to make another significant life move to Budapest Hungary. I’m excited, nervous, joyful and slightly terrified at the same time. You know, all the familiar emotions that you fellow expats know well when you move abroad.

For a while now, I’ve been very passionate about the idea of providing a professional service for expats to help them build their social circle and create a plan so that they can build a fulfilling life in their new home. I also want to help potential expats and re-pats (people thinking of moving home) in making the correct and most informed decisions about whether to move away or come home, and then help them create a plan so that the transition is as smooth as possible.

As you all know, moving abroad is a significant life decision. It can be a source of great joy but also great struggle for so many people, and personally I feel that there is a lack of special dedicated support for expats making their transition abroad.

With this in mind, I wonder if you could help me make this a reality by filling out a quick 5 minute survey below? The survey is simple enough, it just asks a few questions about the main sources of happiness and sources of struggle that expats face while they are transitioning to their new home.

It’s completely anonymous and is done through Google Forms. It would really help me out and more importantly, it has the potential to help a future generation of expats with the ups and downs that come along with moving.

The survey can be found here: Protected content

Thanks for reading everyone, and I'd love to hear from you all in the comments below. Have a great day. :-)
