Hidden places are just a thought away

Hello everyone :)
I am new in internations club,but not new in discovering different and beautiful places around the world.
Planning my holiday for beginning of next year and would love to hear some tips from you.
Idea of my holiday is not to go to some expensive sea & beach resorts or to the urban busy city place.
I am keen on experiencing new cultures,mixing with local people,visiting places which are not on blockbuster holiday lists.
Any ideas ?
