History of Halloween

Happy Halloween to all my Celtic brothers and sisters in the world.
Keep laughing at all the European news sources that report how this festival started in America and came to Europe 20 years ago LOL
Anyone who knows there history will tell you the Celts have been celebrating this holiday for Protected content . The Scots and the Irish took their tradition with them when they emigrated to the United States in the 18th and 19th centuries :D
Actually as a young child growing up in Scotland, I had no clue it was even celebrated in the US. Instead of 'Trick or Treat' the original term was called 'Guising' and instead of pumpkins we used turnips. The Celts found pumpkins in more abundance than turnips after emigrating the the US so the tradition of using the pumpkin was born :) Protected content
