holiday hanoi

This will be my 4th visit to Vietnam and the 2nd. to Hanoi. I am a 65 yr. old Vietnam Vet from Australia and have got to know the Vietnam People well. I still need to interact with people from home as well as locals when I come to Hanoi. Can anyone give me some advice on places to eat and drink in Hanoi. I will be in Hanoi from the 1st. till the 6th, of October Protected content hope somebody can give me good advice. Chris.
