I have a big problem with an airline ticket, maybe some of you can give me a hand....

I have the following problem: A long time ago I bought in Rome, an airline ticket at Air France, to go to Buenos Aires next January, but as I am going to move and to start a new work on December, I am not going to be able to make that trip unfortunately, and if I cancel it I will lose around € 1.000.- because the rate I paid is not refundable and doesn't allow me either to change the dates, so I would like to know if some of you has some acquaintance at Air France who maybe can help me, at least to retrieve half of the amount I paid!
If someone can help me I will really appreciate it! :-)
