Imagine your children having to leave school sacrificing proper education just to make the 3 hour journey to gather water – water that is not even safe or healthy to be drinking or bathing with.

Imagine having fresh drinking water flowing under your feet but a government who gives little to no support to tap into it while it's people struggle.

This is a daily reality for the majority of the population in rural Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian Water Project is an initiative to begin tapping into these precious water sources.

The project is in the beginning phases of bring clean water to Ethiopian communities with plans to drill and lay pipeline for 10 wells starting in the county of Dalota.

The cost of drilling and laying pipeline are between $12,000 and $15,000 dollars per well.

This campaign is focusing on raising funding for 2 of the critical wells needed in the small community of Oda Nabi. The first well will deliver water to the local health clinic and the second will provide water to it's 3 schools.

With a large group of volunteers and plane tickets booked, the plan is to drill the wells in January of Protected content your generosity adding to success of this campaign will determine whether that becomes a reality.

Clean water has only positive effects on the quality of life in these communities. Children will be able to stay in school and gain a proper education while the spread of water-borne diseases such as Dengue, Typhoid, Malaria, Cholera, will drastically fall. The access to the clean water will create a healthier and better educated community who can better provide for themselves and give back to the world in turn.
