In need of advice

Hello InterNations friends! My son has gotten a great job with a major company in France. This is not a contract; he is an employee. He has been studying French for weeks so he can assimilate as quickly as possible. We have been getting different instruction as to how to test before leaving for Paris. Could some PLEASE explain to me the requirements for testing for covid? We have been told he has to test negative within 72 hours of arriving in country, but the tests in GA take Protected content to complete. He was supposed to leave tomorrow, but had to cancel his hotel, cancel his flight and hope he can get the answer this week so he can leave next weekend.
