Job based in Asia - Consultant / Digital Info
The Digital Information Specialist will provide written recommendations for an overarching technology strategy; provide written pilot project concept notes and preliminary budgets; identify viable funding sources; and may be required to present these materials to Asia Foundation and Books for Asia management at a strategic planning meeting.

The Digital Information Specialist will be based in Asia and will be responsible for developing a robust technology component in collaboration with the BFA team to complement the BFA program. The Digital Information Specialist will interview and engage with Asia Foundation field staff, partners, local stakeholders, and prospective public and private donors in order to identify and propose innovative technologies and develop strategies and projects that use ICT resources to complement the BFA mission in the context of national governments.
Qualifications and Experience
•Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Information Technology and International Development or similar strongly preferred. A technical degree with international development graduate studies is ideal.
•Minimum three to five years of relevant experience preferably in applying technology to international development, online learning in Asia, or ePublishing.
•Extensive professional network of contacts working in technology and international development in Asia highly desired.
•Experience working or consulting on technology projects highly desired.
•Experience in strategic planning, proposal development, and budgeting for international development ICT or similar projects.
•Proven ability to communicate, coordinate, and effectively work with diverse stakeholders, from government
