Job: Segment Manager

URGENT requirement for a Segment Manager, Petroleum for developing Power Systems division sales based in Iraq, who will be required to make frequent travels to Egypt, UK and customers home bases.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assess customer needs and trends across all areas, and develop action plans and targets (growth, PINS, GP, etc.) for products and service offerings
• Prepare and update price lists
• Consolidate marketing and promotion plans across all areas within the Petroleum segment
• Assess and monitor performance of various sales teams
• Be the principal interface with the Group Segment Manager
• Plan and manage inventory levels
• Provide technical know-how to sales personnel
• Develop new service offerings and products
• Work closely with the Group segment Manager and the local Sales teams to implement product and pricing strategies
• Train sales personnel
• Liaise with customers for technical support, product training, and certification
• Provide engineering expertise and project management on customized offerings
• Lead and manage the sales effort of all major projects/customers
• Monthly reports to the Power Systems Executive Director and Executive Director, Iraq
• Responsible for building the trust of new customers

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility:
• Responsible for sales in Iraq and development of new sales staff

Financial Authority:
• Working with the executive directors will have joint responsibility in recommending and implementing future business plans to increase market share

Tools and Technologies being used in the role:
• Microsoft packages
• ManPro
• CRM’s

Essential Experience & Background:
• Experience of working in Iraq or similar environment
• Knowledge of the Petroleum sector
• Track record of business relationship management
• Experience of managing a sales team
• 5+ years of managing a small team of sales people across remote areas

Skills & Educational Qualifications:
• Cultural awareness and respect
• Strong interpersonal skills able to work within a matrix system motivating and guiding those who do not report directly to the role.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Good analytical skills.
• Preparedness to work in Iraq
• Degree educated, preferably in Engineering or Business Management
• Sales and Marketing qualification
• Marketing or similar qualification
