Learning to dance in Cuba.
As everyone should know, Salsa dance has its origins in Cuban rhythms. If you're interested to learn all this dances and the Cuban salsa style, you can attend any of this prestigious organizations that take place every year in the island:
1. FolkCuba (International Folklore Laboratories in Havana, 15 days of rhithm begining on the third monday in January and the first monday in July where the most outstanding figures of the National Folklore Goup of Cuba will impart the secrets of Cuba folk dances, with their Afican and Hispanic roots, and tha magic sounds produced by cubans percussion instruments.)
2. Cubadanza (International workshop for dance professionals, which includes Cuban modern dance techniques, Cuban traditional dances, Cuban folklore, choreographic workshops, technical bar, conferences etc. Winter workshop starts around the first monday of January and Summer Workshop, the first Monday of August and lasts 2 weeks, the first from monday to saturday and the second from monday to Friday, from 9am to 2pm)
3. The Salsa Congress and Festival (6 days of Salsa Total in Havana. 5 days intensive-workshops for beginners to advance and master class, 5 levels, 22 hours classes in 10 rooms with live percussion & music with top instructors all from ISA (Instituto Superior de Arte). 6 nights with shows, parties and concerts of the top bands from cuba and the possibility of have your ownl cuban dancepartner.)
