Lebanon... Is it a god idea to visit it now?

Hi everyone, I was thinking of travelling to Lebanon sometime this summer. Is it safe? Some of my friends tend to think otherwise. And would it be wiser to avoid summer in Lebanon.. would it be verrryyyy hot? I think it could probably about some 30ish to 40C max around July-August, would it? My friend reckons that one might evaporate under such circumstances and as a compromise, we are looking at 30C.
