Living in Richmond

Hi,

I will be relocating to London and I'm looking for a family firendly place to live. Richmond looks like a really good option with its many outstanding primary schools and beautiful environment. My husband will be working in Newbury and it seems to take about 1h 20m by car to reach there. I suspect that it would be taking more than this on busy hours. Do you have any information about how long does it take to travel between Richmond and Newbury especially during peak hours?
I would be also glad to hear if you have any further comments about schools and living in Richmond.
