Malapascua Needs Your Help

I recently travelled to tiny paradise island Malapascua, just north of Cebu in the Philippines; recently ravaged by typhoon Yolanda. Despite their hardships and personal tragedies, I was overwhelmed by their community efforts, optimism and generous spirits. Because of their remote location, main relief efforts have not reached them. The island still survives without power for most of the day, palm trees snapped in two block paths, rubbish litters the island and each morning it lines the beaches, homes are still left in make-shift condition; repaired with scrap materials and rooved with plastic sheeting for shelter.
These people are in dire need of help; they are unable to afford the cost of building materials, let alone the additional expense of shipping and porter fees. 100% of the money raised will go directly to the buying and supplying of building materials as well as volunteer projects to continue the clean up and offer assistance at the schools.
