Male Trailing Partners - Interview Study

Hello everyone!

My name is Francesca Schmitt and I'm enrolled in the master's program "Management & Human Resources" at Leuphana University Lüneburg.

I have lived abroad during my youth and time in college (Singapore, USA, Czech Republic, Australia) and am really interested in the topic of international HR and expatriation. Therefore, I have registered at InterNations and am excited to get to know the expat-community and might be able to support some expatriates coming to Germany.

Besides this personal motivation to join the network, I also have an academic interest as I am currently writing my master thesis that focuses on the topic of "male trailing partners". For this purpose, I want to conduct interviews with male interview partners who are or have accompanied their partner, a female expatriate, on an international assignment.

This is a non-traditional constellation, as previous research has mainly focused on male expatriates and female trailing spouses. But we want to hear the "male side" of an accompanying partner as well! Unfortunately, it is rather difficult to find appropriate interview partners who are willing to share their knowledge and experience.
