Moving to Santiago or not ...

Dear all,

I'm considering moving to Santiago, Chile.
Online you can read the worse and the best about it, that confuses me.
I'm especially wondering about schooling since my 6 years old kid neither speak Spanish nor English (I don't speak Spanish neither), pollution compared to Beijing, and earthquake (compared to Japan for instance).
I would appreciate the feed back of the place.
